Adam Finney is a New Zealand born emerging documentary director/producer who is compelled to tell stories with rich, complex characters who are brave and explore our world in atypical ways. These characters reveal deep truths about nature, humanity, science and the esoteric. Adam translates these skills through commercial and independent cinema.
 
Adam has worked as a director in Advertising working, recently working on a national campaign with Australia Post. While his independent documentary “WHERE IS MY DARLING?” was awarded Best Australian Short Documentary at Antenna Documentary Film Festival and was nominated for 2022 AIDC (Australian International Documentary Conference) Best Short Form Documentary. Having also earned Best Film – Documentary at the 2021 CILECT CAPA (the Asia Pacific Association of CILECT) Awards, placing fifth worldwide. Adam has co-produced “Mudcrab” Which is nominated for an AACTA best short film award and premiered at 2022 Melbourne International Film Festival. The film also screened internationally at 2022 Raindance Film festival and Santa Barbara International Film Festival. 

Adam holds a Masters of Arts (documentary) from the Australian School of Film Television and Radio.
